WHAT IS ALLIED HEALTH ASSISTANCE?

Our Allied Health Assistants are key clinical support staff that are trained and experienced in implementing therapeutic services on behalf of a registered and qualified practitioner.

Our Allied Health Assistants are able to provide like for like services for participants needing Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy services when availability, funding or practicality may not be appropriate to have a qualified therapist provide ongoing services.

Our Allied Health Assistant team includes:

  • Speech Therapy Assistant – To provide strategies and implement therapy related to improving participants ability to communicate and express themselves

  • Occupational Therapy Assistant – To provide strategies and implement therapy related to fine motor, physical movement, assistive technology, community access and transfers.

  • Physiotherapy Assistant – To provide strategies and implement therapy related to physical movement, exercise, balance, and community participation
