Didem
SPEECH PATHOLOGIST TEAM LEADER
Didem is an experienced Speech Pathologist and Team Leader, dedicated to running assessments and interventions tailored to clients' and families' needs. She plays a key role in supervising clinicians, onboarding new team members, and supporting the management team.
Didem also conducts observations in various settings, including schools, homes, kindergartens, and daycare, while offering parent coaching and collaborating with other professionals and educators to support children’s development.
With a passion for seeing children progress through therapy, Didem thrives on empowering caregivers by building their capacity and skills to better support their children.
Didem graduated in 2016 with a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Biomedicine specialising in neuroscience. She has pursued further professional development in areas like DIR/Floor Time, the ASD diagnostic pathway, and Hanen’s More Than Words programme.
Her background includes leadership experience in supervising junior clinicians, helping them grow their skills from the early stages of their careers. Didem has a special interest in the ASD diagnostic pathway and finds fulfilment in guiding others within the field.
Outside of work, Didem enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time in nature, as well as quality time with her family and friends. Born and raised in Melbourne, she grew up in a household of three girls and has a passion for music, dancing, and making jewellery.
