Maria
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Maria is a dedicated Adult Occupational Therapist, specialising in community visits, functional and housing assessments, and assistive technology.
She is passionate about improving her clients' quality of life, helping them participate more fully in the activities they love.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) from Monash University in 2021, Maria has also completed courses in mental health first aid, sensory regulation, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) housing, Supported Independent Living (SIL), and Individualised Living Options (ILO).
Maria’s previous experience includes working as an NDIS Occupational Therapist and as an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) during her university years. She also volunteered in hospitals, engaging with patients in activities aimed at supporting their mental health during their stay.
She has a special interest in NDIS housing options and functional and assistive technology, aiming to make a positive impact in these areas for her clients.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys coffee, movies, reading, and trying new restaurants. Originally from Greece, Maria moved to Melbourne in 2014 to pursue her studies and career. A passionate basketball fan, she played at a near-professional level in Greece and now enjoys watching basketball and footy from the sidelines.
